Host Frances Sorensen pulls out all the stops for the great Hattie Hathway (Brian Butterick), the legendary New York nightlife impresario and one fantastic character, performing live at the Clocktower. Hathaway's storied history includes forming the band, 3 Teens Kill 4, with the artist and writer David Wojnarowicz in 1980 (their cover of "Tell Me Something Good" was an underground hit), then going on to co-found both the Pyramid Club, a seminal performance venue, and the Wigstock Festival in the East Village. Hathaway later became a co-producer of Jackie 60 extravaganzas (see "Evening Air") and the curator of the Downtown Costume Institute, a traveling show of nightlife fashion and history with stops in Atlanta, Chicago and New York. Most recently, Hathaway joined the cast (with Alan Cumming, Edie Falco and Christine Baranski) of "The Threepenny Opera," in a new translation by Wallace Shawn currently in development at the Roundabout Theater.
