Edition #154: Heath Ledger, I'm Not There
ART TALK - Beyond the Subtitles
listen | listen with RealPlayer
First broadcast December 3, 2007

Touted among the finest actors of his generation, Heath Ledger had one for the history books with Brokeback Mountain and now appears as a Dylanesque figures – one of six – in Todd Haynes' controversial homage to the singer-songwriter, I'm Not There. Ledger, who will be seen next summer as The Joker in the Batman sequel, The Dark Knight, talks about being 28, an actor's life and how it can ruin a marriage (as it did his with costar Michelle Williams) and why he would have played The Joker if the movie was made for just $100,000 instead of a $150 million.
