Thursday, November 20, 6AM - 9AM: Wake Up Call
Tune in at 8:00 am for an hour special THE "F" WORD - The Whore, the Enemy, the Competition, the Betrayed, the Abandoned, the Rejected, the Overlooked, the Mammy – and now the prize. The F Word stands for female. With Michelle Obama, whose history means she made it from the Big House to the White House, this political campaign is a special moment for black women. But not just black women. Females dominated this political campaign at various stages. Like the world of celebrity they too shall be known just by their first names: Sarah, Hilary and Michelle. Scrutinized,
categorized, demonised, vilified – in one case virtually sanctified – but
always much discussed and hotly debated. Join Esther Armah in conversation
with APRIL SILVER, MICHAELA ANGELA DAVIS, LAURA FLANDERS for an after
election special on the females factor - tune in for The "F" Word.
