After moving back to London and building an enthusiastic crowd, WhistleBump was born. Playing a mix of the freshest underground house, classic Salsoul and Philly disco, reggae, Latin and anything with an upbeat feel, the club, now nearing its fifth year, and its annual "Whistle Boat" parties present some of the best talent around, from the likes of Dave Lee to Ashley Beedle, Gilles Peterson to Basement Jaxx, and Danny Krivit to Osunlade. With recording partner Kevin Long, Simon has also built a studio in South London, producing "Soul Central: Strings of Life". As KLaSH Productions, their varied sound has received international club and radio play; last year, as Awa-KlaSH, he released the Fela-inspired Afro-house "Akoba" on New York's Wave Records.

listen | listen with RealPlayer
First broadcast April 2, 2007

The latest dj session from Jeannie Hopper brings together some of her latest favorites on the live jazzy tip fused with a moving house music dancefloor tempo.
