ART RADIO WPS1.ORG LIVE at 2006 Art Basel Miami Beach For the third consecutive year, Art Radio WPS1.org will broadcast live from Art Basel Miami Beach , from December 6 through December 10, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Art Radio WPS1.org (url www.WPS1.org), the Internet radio station of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, is the exclusive source for up-to-the-minute international art news, culture and gossip - all as it unfolds at one of the biggest art shows of the year. Broadcasting from the Art Basel Miami Beach Art Positions café and gallery containers at 21st Street and Collins Avenue, Art Radio WPS1.org programs will include conversations with artists, curators, DJs, collectors, gallerists, museum-leaders, writers, and educators. New York's School of Visual Arts (SVA) and Arts Council Manhattan are co-sponsors and programming partners for Art Radio WPS1.org at Art Basel Miami Beach. Programs hosted by SVA alumni and faculty plus key figures in downtown New York's cultural renewal will be featured daily. Art Radio WPS1.org launched in 2004 as the first web-based art radio station. The programs combine talk and music shows hosted by contemporary writers, curators, artists and musicians. It also includes selections from the audio archive of The Museum of Modern Art. Programs are broadcast 24-hours a day, seven days a week. School of Visual Arts (SVA) is one of the nation's leading colleges of art and design. Since its inception in 1947, the College has engaged a faculty of well-known artists, critics, designers, and writers who are active and respected in their fields. Arts Council Manhattan seeks new ways of imagining art in the daily life of the city and provides funding, marketing, advocacy and innovative approaches to entrepreneurship for artists and small arts organizations throughout Manhattan. Miami-based listeners will be able to tune in via local station WVUM 90.5 FM from the University of Miami, from December 6 through 8, and on December 10. WVUM is an independent, completely student-run radio station and reaches an audience of approximately 3 million people in the greater Miami-Dade area.
